On 8 July 2022, the EMM Survey Registry was awarded one of the Open Science – Open Data prizes, granted by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research for the first time within the category ‘Creating the conditions for data reuse’.
The prizes were announced in a ceremony led by the French Minister of Higher Education, Sylvie Retailleau. Laura Morales, Professor at Sciences Po (Paris), received the prize on behalf of the EthmigSurveyData research network. It consisted of a trophy and a 5,000€ fund to contribute to the maintenance of the Registry.
The EMM Survey Registry has jointly been produced by COST Action 16111-ETHMIGSURVEYDATA, and the SSHOC (Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud) project. In addition, the FAIRETHMIGQUANT (Making ethnic and migrant minority survey data FAIR) ANR project has also supported the compilation and quality checks of the survey-level metadata, primarily for the French surveys included in the EMM Survey Registry.
